So you are interested in joining?

Great we would love to meet you, but we are an Invite-Only club. That means all of our pre-screened members are either sponsored, interviewed, or otherwise approved to join. But don't worry, request and invite below, and we will get you rolling quickly on the approval process.

The Basics

WHO SHOULD APPLY - You must be over the age of 21 and planning on living in the bay area for the next 3 months to apply.

HOW DO I GET ACCEPTED - Those that complete the full invite request will receive an email to tell you what to do next. We have over 200 applicants we are working with, if we call you and leave a message, we already like you, so please call back.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST - Less than your daily latte. As a general rule of thumb, if you can't afford to spend a hundred dollars per month on being active you are probably not a right fit for this club.

Since 2003, Urban Diversion has been connecting great people to trusted communities and friendships that last a lifetime. They all started out where you are now. Here is what these members have to say now

Camping and adventures is what hooked me. I remember the first event I went on was a 3 day backpacking trip in Hetch Hetchy area! I was so nervous after I signed up, I remember thinking I'm crazy! It was the best decision I ever made!! Gorgeous weekend, amazing crew that I have seen many times since, and Steve was a great well knowledged host.” Mark A., Oakland

If you are a busy professional and you do not have time to organize events and trips, Urban Diversion is a first rate organization. Over the years I have made a tremendous amount of personal and professional connections.” -Ray Z, Dublin, CA

For me this was the best community of close-knit friends I’ve built since college, and the best adventures I’ve ever had!” -Chris P., San Francisco

My favorite thing? Every event has a great staff host, like Alison, Steve, Kat etc. whose jobs (which I want) are to make sure everything is amazing.” -Julie A., Walnut Creek

I went tandem skydiving with 15 other UD members and the host was telling jokes the entire time! We were too busy laughing to be nervous. Experience of a lifetime!... And next month we are all going surfing together, same people!” -Karen J, Mill Valley

Since I didn’t know anyone when I moved here, I’d say [the best thing is] connections! Connections to amazing events and adventures and connections to other great people to do them with. And getting to know the Bay Area with Jin, Lance, Mark, and other friends I met in the club!” -Shuchi R., San Jose

I was a particularly active club member taking advantage of outdoor adventures, travel, and social events. I met Hope my second year, and fell in love with her adventurous attitude and general sweetness. A year after we met and nine months after our Urban Diversion Costa Rica trip we were living together, expecting our first kid, and planning our future..” -Andrew P, San Rafael
