Snow Moon:
A Full Moon Adventure Hike
Light from the Full Moon will illuminate our path as we look down on the lights from the city sparkling in the distance
Join UD for a sunset/ full moon evening hike with friends, and a fantastic view of the SF Bay! We will be hiking the Seaview and Big Springs Trails loop!
What to Expect:
This hike in Berkeley is one of our favorites, the landscape is just gorgeous. The trail follows the rolling hills, and offers stunning views of SF and the East Bay with every turn. While the sun is setting, we will enjoy trail snacks, and each other's company. Eventually the full moon will light our trail making for a magical hike. The trail brings us through forested ravines, and rolling green hills, leading us to a panoramic view of the SF Bay. The beginning of the hike is steep, but very worth it with the sweeping views of the city. Expect a 4.3 mile hike with 984 feet of elevation gain. A challenge but totally worth it!! In the U.S., February's full moon is dubbed the Snow Moon because February historically is the snowiest month in the Northern Hemisphere.

What to bring:
- Warm layers
- Hiking shoes
- Water
- Flashlight/head lamp is a must!
- $$ for food and drinks after hike if you want to go out after our hike (optional)
Attire: Casual, comfortable. Layers! BRING WARM Layers!!
