What is the Find-Your-Peak Challenge?
- Peak bagging with a twist!
- What is peak bagging?? When a hiker, climber, or mountaineer sets a goal to attempt to reach a collection of summits!
- We will conquer 6 peaks!
- If you join us for all 6 hikes in this series (or show us a completed trail map on Gaia or Alltrails), and you will receive special prizes for completing the challenge!
- PRIZES: If you complete all 6 peaks, you will be invited to two of our most popular annual camp-outs at a 10% discount - AND - when you sign up for either of these two camp-outs, you will receive a $50 event credit bonus to use at any future UD event! Campout info below:
- Each month brings a new summit, from majestic peaks, to hidden gems.
- You can join the series at any time, whether you want to join us for one hike, or for the entire series (highly encouraged), we welcome you! No need to start from the beginning, you can always tackle the previous hikes in your spare time as well.
- This challenge is not just a physical journey; it's an opportunity to push boundaries, connect with fellow adventurers, and experience the breathtaking beauty of the great outdoors.

 What to expect:
Our peak challenge for April is the legendary Mount Diablo. This hike is rated as challenging with 7.3 miles round-trip, and 2,139 ft elevation gain. Trust us, the amazing Bay Area views at the summit are worth all the effort!
We will meet at the trail head, and start the hike bright and early. Challenge yourself, embrace the thrill of elevation, and discover the extraordinary sense of accomplishment that comes with reaching the summit. If you're new to the club, this is a perfect event to come out and meet other new members and some long time members too! Whether you're a seasoned trailblazer or a novice explorer, join us as we conquer new heights together. We are setting out to hike the Bay Areas tallest and most iconic peaks. Who needs Everest when you have Mount Diablo, St. Helena, and Mission Peak in your backyard?
Wildflowers at Mount Diablo: 
Mount Diablo is the place to be when it comes to Spring wildflowers! It's like a Technicolor carpet of flora... more colors than a box of crayons. As if Van Gogh painted the hills himself. You get the idea! This is a fantastic hike and one of the East Bay's most famous vantage points. Mount Diablo also offers great opportunities for amazing photography, and the wildflowers will add to the beauty! Let's enjoy the magic of Spring, conquer a new summit, and connect with some awesome UD friends while we are at it!
