Hike: Cheese Boutique to Glenn Canyon Park

You'd think that San Francisco was a concrete jungle from the Golden Gate to San Jose but guess what....it's not.  There are islands of green within this mass of pavement and high rise towers...you just don't know where to explore!

That's why Dal our amazing knowledgeable host is adventuring you into the unknown once every other week! Come and explore these little known areas with us in a fun, easy, and informative format.

Leave the car at home this week and take BART to the Glenn Park Station.

What to Expect: We'll be meeting after work for a mid-week stress reducing walk with friends; both new and old. Don't worry about having the latest fitness clothes or high tech hiking boots. Just dress in layers and throw a pair of comfortable shoes in your trunk before you leave for work in the morning. We'll be back to the cars by dark but consider bringing a headlamp or a flashlight because.........."Safety never takes a day off".

The Hike: The Cheese Boutique: This is one of those little 'Hole in the Wall' places that serves out of this world cheeses in a great location. We'll be meeting anytime after 6pm at the Boutique before setting out on our wander at 630pm through Glenn Canyon Park. Our destination is up to us and we can turn around anytime we want and get back to our cars or BART.

Our Route: We'll be walking through groves of eucalyptus and redwood trees. The aromas and views should be amazing. We really need to take the time to step back and enjoy these sights and smells. Bring  a bottle of wine to share and we'll sample our recently purchased cheeses in an impromptu wilderness wine and cheese party. Amazing views abound and we'll be with fun and interesting people. Come join us.................
