Recession Depression Party
The clubhouse turned into a speakeasy complete with black out windows and Casino tables

As you can see from the photos this was truly a mystery spot... one of those attractions you normally would find in Iowa.
Stinson Beach Hike
We had a perfect perfect day on sunday for our hike to Stinson beach. Amazing views, great group! just a perfect day.
Kickball
We took advantage of day lights savings and played a fun game of kickball where Andy did a good job of making up the rules as the game went on
The past week has been full of some great events. Thank you to everyone who has attended and as you can see from the photos we have had a large turnout at the events.
On Thursday night we took advantage of the great spring weather and headed to the Embarcadero Plaza park for a game of kickball. A big thank you must go to Andy for teaching everyone the rules and making them up as the game went on. The weather also didn't disappoint on Sunday with a beautiful hike to Stinson Beach. The views were amazing!
Not only do we say good bye to a long standing staff member Corey (see below) who has been an integral part of the club but we also say good bye to members heading to Costa Rica for a week long Adventure. I Can't wait to hear the stories when they return!
Fact about San Francisco- San Francisco cable cars are the only moving National Historic Landmark, and 9.7 million people take a nine mile per hour ride on them each year. At the Cable Car Barn Museum, 500-horsepower electric motors turn the endless cable loops.
A Heartfelt Goodbye... Hello all of you in Urban Diversion land. I'm sure most everyone in the club knows me by now, if not through events then by stories and reputation. I'm the 'adventure guy' and the second longest-standing staff member aside from Lance. I've been in San Francisco and with Urban Diversion since 2004 but very soon I'll be saying goodbye. Some of you have already been hearing rumors and I wanted to let everyone know that it's true... I'm returning to the Midwest at the end of April.
I have a great opportunity to start up a new chapter of Urban Diversion this summer. While I'm excited to take on this new challenge in the next chapter of my life, I'm still very sad to be leaving such wonderful friends and a great city. Fear not though... I promise I will return to visit and make appearances at some of the signature events this year. I will be returning for Urban Diversion's 6-year Anniversary Party on May 15th. This will be not only Urban Diversion's birthday party, but also my goodbye party.
Thank you to all of you who have made the past 5 years some of the best of my life. I will miss you all!

SPRING INTO SPRING- BIG TRIPS COMING UP
Explore the American Desert: Death Valley- This Friday April is one of the best time of year (weather and temperature wise) to visit this very unique place and we will be taking full advantage of it. Areas we will visit are: crystal salt fields, painted canyons, tall sand dunes, and mysterious moving rocks just to name a few. Spring is also prime to view the rare and beautiful desert wildflowers!
Easter in Tahoe - At our South Shore Cabin- Friday, April 10th Here's your chance to escape the Bay Area and retreat to a winter wonderland of fun and snow! For 2 days and 2 nights, explore the towns, the ski resorts and the casinos from the convenience of a local ski cabin.
South Bay News
Events this week in the South Bay went great!! Pub Trivia was a blast and Santa Cruz in was just plain cool! Check out the upcoming calendar and I hope to see you all again soon!
