Last week at UD:
The past seven days brought adventure to many members with scuba lessons and indoor skydiving on offer. Sunday's gorgeous weather allowed for an awesome and informative tour of the Castro district. Sixteen of us gathered to discover a civil rights park, the Castro theater and more. Thanks to Hollywood and Gus Van Sant's movie MILK, UD had a special treat when we headed to what we thought would be a gift store. We were able to literally step back in time to see an exact replica of Harvey Milk's 1977 campaign headquarters. Jessica even spotted Sean Penn on Thursday night during her test run of the tour.

The Adventurer's Corner:
Hey everyone! I had a great time with our crew at our Intro to Scuba class. I just wanted to remind you all that this is only the 1st event in a 3 part series.
Part two: For anyone who has ever been wanting to get their Scuba Certification, I am organizing a class starting at the end of February. This is a lifetime certification so the next time you take an exotic vacation, you'll have the added opportunity to dive wherever you go! This certification is in preparation for a weekend trip to the Channel Islands in southern California.
Part Three: Channel Islands! On this trip we will be making 4 dives in 4 different locations in the shallow, 20-40ft deep waters surrounding the Channel Islands. If that weren't enough, we will also get to sleep on the boat Friday night before our dives as well as be served a hot breakfast AND lunch on Saturday.
SIgn up for one event or sign up for all. This is a great way to get into scuba diving.
Cheers,
Corey
